Beach '09

They have really changed downtown IOP. There is a center down the street and these lovely turtles at the beginning.
At the end of the pier, one of the guys caught a baby shark. He let the kids take a look. It was pretty neat.
My two best guys.
Nor-Nor chillin' on the beach. Thankfully she liked it much better this year.
Tug-tug chillin' at the pool. We have to stay at a place with a pool for those of us who love the beach and those of us who could do without.
We had a really good time. Although, never in my life, has it taken 6 hours to get from Charleston to home. The traffic was crazy. Nor-Nor has a rash under her chin and bumps inside her lower lip so we cut our trip one day short. Which really is better since I have to leave for a yearbook conference on Sunday afternoon. We had a really good time and on in the works to get vacation '10 in the works. Disney World here we come!!!!
BTW: sorry if some of you see the new sidebar picture again. It may go in some Christmas cards.

My Latest Project

One day last week when we had not so good weather I was wondering what I could do with myself. And this is what I did. I tiled the back-splash in my kitchen. It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. I discovered that the most expensive part of a tiling project is the grout. So if anyone wants tan grout for your next project, let me know. It comes in a bucket and of course I didn't use very much for this little project.

PA pics a little late

Playing with Play-dough in the club house. Easy cleanup.
We brought things to pass the time before fireworks started.
We had blankets......we had coats, but still nothing could stave off the chill of the 43 degrees once the sun went down.
New haircut, which looks a little frizzy by this point in the day, but I still like it.

Nor-Nor playing her 'guitar' that she bought with the few dollars Gram gave her.

Checking out the worms before heading down back to the creek for some fishing. It appears that Tug has passed the "I don't want to be dirty stage" and the "Scared of everything phase."

Tough Economic Times

Why.......you are wondering...do I have a pair of needlenose pliers in my bathroom......
For this reason.....got a new bottle of deodorant out of the linen closet, twisted the bottom and the knob broke off in my hand. So I am standing there wondering......what am I going to do? I don't want to throw a perfectly good container of deo. away........afterall these are tough economic times. That would be like taking 2 $1 bills and throwing them in the trash. So needlenose pliers to the rescue. There is enough of the knob left on the bottom for me to twist with the pliers. Ingenious, right???
