A Busy Weekend

Isn't he just too precious for words???!!!! AEKS was probably irritated that I didn't really put him down, but I just couldn't resist.

What a blessing to be able to spend time with great friends!!! We enjoyed the college scrapbooks. I haven't laughed that much in a while. Church program, staying up way too late Friday night (not sure when 11:30 became too late), lunch and visit with A and family, *Old Time Pottery*, dinner, church (thanks BAC for letting me tag along), lunch at *Janets* which I thoroughly enjoyed and then home for another whirlwind week.

It's About Time

After three years of living in this house I finally got curtains for our bedroom. They are not quiet hung right, because I don't have the right ribbon yet, but you get the picture. RCM introduced me to a great store in G'ville and I was able to hook it up. The only bad thing about buying things like this is that if something is wrong it's kind of a too bad so sad situation. Although RCM did offer to return a set for me. The other window has the same curtain, but it's brown on the top. Not sure how I missed that in the store, but oh well. There is a whole different ambiance to the room.

V-day in July

Happy Valentine's Day!!!! You probably have already guessed, but my wonderful, amazingly amazing husband bought us Micheal Buble tickets for Valentine's Day. The concert is July 10th and I am soooooooooooo excited. I have all his cd's and just love, love, love his music. Can't wait.

The Rotary and More

This evening, despite the threat of snow, we headed out for T's official induction into the Troutman Rotary. It was a big night..........not only the induction of members but it's really the beginning of this branch of the Rotary. It was neat to see what they have done, and what they plan to do.

What a week this has been. This was our first week in school since the start of the second semester. We are sooooooo tired. And it looks like we may be out again as we watch the snow fall. Snow is quickly becoming over-rated in our household. In fact, we might entertain the idea of actually moving to the frozen tundra of some place like Greenbay, Wisconsin. Our theory is that if it's going to snow, our lives might as well continue to roll instead of being stuck at home for days on end.

We are sitting here watching the opening ceremonies for the winter Olympics. It really brings back some memories, especially four years ago, when Nor-Nor was born. T actually discoverd that winter that in the middle of the night they show the entire event of any particular sport instead of just the highlights you see during prime time. How far we have come. I feel bad for Tug........he was supposed to start soccer practice in the morning. And although we intended for soccer practice to be indoors I think people would have a hard time getting there. Hopefully we can get out for our Valentine's Day dinner. We shall see.

Texas Hold 'Em

By Sunday afternoon, the snow was perfect for a snow ball fight and snowman making. Here Mr. Jeff and Tug are working on rolling the head for the snowman. I think this snowman won't melt until at least March. We have had a good time in the snow, but really we are over it.

We managed to get out and about today which was good. We got two hair cuts for $11.90. Gotta love those Valu-save packs that come in the mail. Some good deals found at Target along with some essential items. And of course, a Chick-fil-a lunch for Nor-Nor since we couldn't pick up her tray for the birthday. It was nice to get out. No students tomorrow either. Ugh!!!! It's supposed to be a teacher workday althougth I don't know what we are supposed to do.

On a different note: my Nor-Nor gave me a rare gift and she doesn't even realize it. On the eve of her 4th birthday she actually allowed me to wrap her in a blanket, snuggle down and she fell asleep in my lap. What a moment to treasure as I reflected back on the last four years. Oh it is moments like that when I can almost envision a 3rd Griffin child. But then reality sets in. It was a most precious moment.
