P vs. T

We were fortunate enough to get tickets to the Panthers/Titans game. The kids had a great time!! We left right before half-time. Really it was the most borning 30 minutes of football I have ever watched. You don't get the commentary in the stadium like you do on TV. There was alot of sitting around.

I'm just going to be honest, I don't care where you see this Panther.....outside the stadium, insides, the eyes on the screen...........he's scary!!!!
Notice the giant panther paws, especially the one behind my head.
Boring game aside, it was very exciting seeing them come out of the tunnel, and the Panthers now have their own drum line.

1st Grade

Tug was a little leary of changing schools for his 1st grade year, but when we walked in for a tour over a month ago we knew it was the place for him. One reason: the mascot is a pirate. If that isn't a sign, I don't know what is. But after 3 days, he is doing great. It's definitely different from kindergarten. I am ready for him to be really challenged. Talk about two tired kids Friday night.
Feeling especially loving toward one another......not sure why. Since we have 2 kids who are NOT morning children.

This is for the HATERS

Okay people who have been on my case about getting a new phone, here you go. I didn't just buy this for you. I did realize I needed a new phone. Texting on that old key pad just wasn't working for me. I was pleasantly surprised that since I had gone so long without a contract, I got this phone for FREE. I didn't need to worry about a mail-in-rebate so that was awesome. You can now welcome me to the 21st century.

Proud New Owner

of a new bike and I am lovin' it. I was going to entitle this post "I'm Fat" but decided against that. People would say, "why are you doing that?" I mean for me to say that is not a put-down about myself, it's just stating a truth........or maybe it was the sermon yesterday that prompted me to not put that. THIS NEXT STATEMENT IS SOOOOOOOOOO TRUE........the pastor was preaching it yesterday. JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING IS TRUE DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO SAY IT. We don't realize how lethal our mouths can be. I'll save the rest of that for another post. This is about my need for weight loss. So, I have this bike, I have signed up for dance class, and I have changed my diet. We'll see what happens!!!!

Changing

I have changed the background..........something that looks kind of like fall. I am soooooooo over summer, ready for the fall weather and ready to get the fall decorations out. I was thinking the other day..........T is about to start his 17th year in education and I am about to start my 7th. I can't quite believe I am about to start my 3rd year at WIHS.....Salisbury seems so long ago. The kids are ready to get back in a routine. Nor woke up this morning and was upset because she wanted to go to school. I guess that is a good sign for next Thursday. Hopefully there won't be many tears. As much as I am ready to get back into a routine, the first few days back to work/school are always tough.

Off to lunch with the Jostens rep..........

Some Things........

1. Tug got stung last night by two wasps and Nor got eaten up my mosquitos. Suffice it to say that I am completely over summer. I am ready for the fall weather and being able to spend some time outside in relative comfort. Every time I go into stores and see their fall stuff out it makes me want to get my bins out.
2. I am lovin' my new hair color.
3. Excited about going to Carowinds tomorrow...........kind of our last hooraw before the start of all this craziness.
4. Super excited about my hip hop class this year. It meets on Tuesdays for an hour..........can't wait for all the work and fun. I am ready to sweat some of this weight off. T and I are going to look into buying bikes this weekend.
5. Here's something that burns me up: people who don't answer their cell phones. Here's why: these people I am talking about are people who I know sit on top of their cell phones and the reason I know that is because they look at them constantly when they are with me, so either it's I am boring company to be around, or I call them and they ignore it. Either way: it's irritating. In fact, I surprised myself the other day by telling a high school student she left her cell phone in the bathroom. You would have thought I just gave her and her father a million dollars, they were so grateful. Usually I tell my students on the first day of school that I wish all their cell phones would blow up.
6. I am sick of people who don't act their age.
7. I have GOT to go and clean our bathroom. It's disgusting and I am not looking forward to it at all. Give me 100 loads of laundry to do, just don't make me clean the bathroom.
8. I think Tug is going to have a great year at his new school. Just wish Nor was starting kindergarten......oh well......one more year of daycare.

Hollywood Studios

The muscial of Beauty and the Beast was incredible. We got such good seats, because Nor-Nor was the "Princess of the Show." That meant we got to sit up front and at the end of the show she got a rose from Belle.

It was amazing how quickly they did costume changes.
Our third parade of the week..............

The organ from "Pirates of the Caribbean"
Props from "Chronicles of Narnia" Seeing the stone table was a hit.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.............we also got to see Pooh, Handy Manny and the Little Einsteins

The soldiers from Toy Story. Unfornately we didn't get to ride the Toy Story ride. As you can see in the background of this picture even the fast passes were ridiculous. Already up past 7 pm.

We had lunch at Pizza Planet.........I place fashioned after Toy Story.
