I choose love.....no occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves. I choose gentleness...nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice may it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself. --Max Lucado

Happy
1. Happy 33 to my parents! I had a great picture of them taken at my birthday to post here but now I can't find it. Hope ya'll have a great day!
2. T is finished with the written portion of his comprehensive exams for the doctorate. Now it's on the oral and then he's officially a candidate for a Ph.D.
3. Surgery went well. I was able to come home the same day. Getting some rest. The preliminary pathology report looks good so hopefully that right side can stay in. Get the stitches out in a week.
4. Loving the fact that the weather will be beautiful. I know most would be shocked at this next statement, but I really am sick of the cold weather.
5. Praise be to God for a speedy recovery, I think I am going to miss exercising over the next week or so. No strenuous activity, doctor's orders.
6. What wonderful friends and family I have. Thanks for all the prayers, thoughts, help and encouragement. You all are the BEST!

5 Year Stats
I took Nor-Nor to the dr. yesterday for her 5 year old physical and to make sure we had everything straight for kindergarten. It really hit me yesterday that my baby is off to school in August. I am very excited about this but also a little sad. But did I mention how happy I will be to not be paying daycare come August??!!!
Vision: 20/30 which is great for this age. Funny story with this one. They project 5 or 6 pictures on the wall and have kids identify first with both eyes and then to cover each eye. Anyway, the first picture, a bird on a branch Nor said an ear. I got this funny look on my face but didn't say anything. Thinking, oh great, she's going to need glasses. Then we got the third picture of an old fashioned rotary phone. (What 2011 kid knows what that is??). Nor said it was a shirt. Funny look again from me but I still didn't say anything. After all was said and done, the nurse said as long as the kids were consistent it was fine. They went through it three times so all was well.
Weight: 46 pounds
Height: 45 inches
Blood pressure: 82 over 40 Funny story again. I knew after BP we would have to get a urine sample. Well needless to say this was interesting. We got the cup under there but then urine went everywhere. Down my hands, the front of the toilet. It was crazy.
Shots: 3 ..........and the look on her face after the second one was heart breaking. We have had no fever symptoms so I am thankful for that.
All in all, we are ready for kindergarten!

Confessions of a Fat Girl Part 5
I CHEATED! Yes, I'll say it loud and clear. I cheated in weighing myself today rather than waiting until this Saturday which is my usual day. But let me tell you why. I did my normal weigh in this past Saturday as usual and no change one way or the other. What an UTTER disappointment. It was really hard for me to get past this but not surprising there was no change because the previous week was a little on the stressful side......one piece of news being that I need to go ahead and have surgery this month to get part of my thyroid out. Anyway, I decided after last Saturday that I HAD to reach one of my mini-goals this week. I wanted to get rid of 40 pounds. I weighed today at school and hit the mark! My exuberance cannot be described. Every 10 pounds is a mini-milestone. I could not be happier or prouder of myself. So I am tooting my own horn. I will "officially" weigh in Saturday and hopefully throw another pound in there.
On another note about this weight loss though........I said the other day that I wished I could see a difference when I looked in the mirror. I mean, there is a definite change in my clothing, however I see the same fatty staring back at me in the mirror. The person I made this remark to said, "you don't see a difference because you see yourself everyday." I said, "I need a break from myself then." hahahaha
Onto 50.............................
