Happy "40" to my Husband

Happy Birthday to a man who is the most wonderful person for me. He is a far better person than I will ever be. He helps me to strive to be a better person every day without even realizing it. I hope he doesn't think of 40 too much as a crisis. You're only as old as you feel. The folks at school have already gotten him good. A sign by the road, handicap parking, and 40's all over his office. And he has so much more in store for the day. I will be so glad when this evening gets here and I will post pictures of that later.

It's that Season

The Mr. and Mrs. This is just one of those times where we go quite awhile without any weddings and then have 2 or 3 in a row. We have another wedding this weekend.

Dancin' the night away. The kids had a blast!!!
Lovin' the oreos and milk.
I thought this was HILARIOUS!!! The sign in the background says "Black & White Unite." And on the table there is oreo cookies and cold milk.

In Case You Were Wondering.........

This is Pretty Much What We Will be Doing This Summer

I am so glad I caught this on camera. Everytime she comes from under the water she has this face.

Nine Great Years

These are pictures of pictures of course..............but it's the best I can. Regardless, Happy Anniversary to the greatest guy a girl could ever have the privilege of marrying. We were talking last night and said it didn't seem like 9 years at all, a lot less in fact. We figured that must be a good thing. Amidst all that we have discovered about marriages around us lately, I am that much more grateful that this is the man I get to come home to every day.
I thought we might all enjoy this picture..........we look so young.
I am so incredibly glad to have this picture. I love these two and can't believe they are gone. How lucky I am that they were able to attend this event.
T brought these home last night (my favorite flower in case you didn't know). They filled 4 vases. Love 'em.

1st Grade Here We Come.......

Last day of school: June 10, 2010
First day of school: August 25, 2009
Tug's Kindergarten class.
Reading his story about what he learned in kindergarten..........."you have to listen to the teacher."

Receiving his "Excellence in Reading" award. We are so proud of him.........very few 'academic' awards were given out. He was the best reader in his class. (The goal for kindergartners is to be at a level 3 by the end of the year, he got to level 16!!!)

The NC Zoo

Happy Retirement

After the party, we left the Russell House and walked over to the Horseshoe. This was a place T and I went to a couple of times when we were dating. Nor kept saying, "I want to see it." And I kept saying, "We're here." I guess she thought it was something you were supposed to hold.

Granny is retiring from USC after 34 years of service there. I had never seen a cake shaped like a number. It was neat.

Things I am Lovin' Right Now

1. The fact that it's June, there are only a few days left of school, and then I get to spend the summer with my Tug and Nor..........and T of course too even though he still works through most of the summer.
2. Disney Trip 2010 isn't that far away.
3. My gardenia bushes finally bloomed this year, after being moved 3 years ago. I was helping T mow this evening and I love the smell.
4. My hydrangea bushes are growing and have beautiful blue blooms........will have to post a picture of that soon.
5. Our new fresh door Samsung refrigerator. I almost don't know what to do with all the room. I actually did my Wally world trip and Aldi trip and there is still room in the freezer. It's amazing.
6. Looking forward to days at the pool........ready to bring on the tan.
7. School is almost out, wait I already said that.
8. Having a peaceful, mostly clean, comfortable home to come to everyday. I know peaceful might seem a strange thing for me to say since we have a 4 and 6 year old, but I love coming home to this, away from all else that is going on in our immediate world.
9. The fact that I have a wonderful, faithful, loving husband who would never do anyhing to intentionally hurt me. (If you've recently had a lengthy conversation with me, I am sure I have mentioned the burden I have for some of the broken marriages we know about. People I would never think would do the things they do to each other. I don't get affairs.)
10. School is almost out..........do you get my recurring theme?
That's it for now...........we have to post pictures later.
