Isle of Palms.......here we come in late July that is. We booked our beach trip today and I am so excited. And we are VERY ready for a vacation around here. We decided on a SC beach because it's closer than most NC beaches (we can make it to Charleston in about 3 and a half hours). I am NEVER going to Myrtle Beach for a family vacation again. It was so crowded and I cannot begin to express how irritating the fireworks were EVERY-SINGLE-NIGHT. We are going with another family who I hope love the Charleston area as much as we do. At least we know the ins and outs of the place. Can't wait to walk on the Battery, see Rainbow Row, walk the Market, eat at Califoria Dreaming (this one is the best in the state), and so much more. Above are a few pictures of the place we are staying.
Cleaned my bathroom after two weeks, finally. But, really who has had the time to do that recently?? Certainly not me. It was kind of yucky. Hope to not wait that long again.
Tug 'graduates' from preschool on Sunday. Will post pictures of that!!! Have a great weekend.

S'more Fun

When Miss R visits she always has fun stuff for us to do. We had our own homemade fire pit and Miss R brought the makings for smores. This is not something we had done before. I had to pick up a few last minute supplies Friday night and got some of the forks at Target for this venture. We had a really hard time getting the fire to stay lit. Not sure why that is........I have never had a problem before. We had alot of fun though. I am itching to be outside since this is our third day straight of rain. The kids are itching too!!! BTW......I HATE when Nor takes her hair down and it hangs in her face. Now I know why my grandmother was so irritated about bangs hanging in the eyes.
Chowing down on a smore that took like an hour to melt the marshmellow. hahahahaha

Sidenote: T is at his third class tonight. I guess this is what would be called the May-mester. This class meets on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5 to 9. I don't think this class will be as bad as the law class. T conquered that class so I think he's good. :)

Sidenote: Watched Jon and Kate plus e#ight last night and was very disturbed. It actually left me a little sick to my stomach. I so want them to be a good wholesome family and I am thinking that just isn't going to happen. What in the world happened to these two?

Sidenote: Two Fridays until school is out..........Yeah!!!!!

Hypocrit

I don't want to be a hypocrit but I must confess that at least in this I guess I am. I have a confession to make........Todd has a facebook account. I don't think I could keep it secret for too long and because he is so computer unsavvy, I have been doing a good bit of the work for him. I will still stick by my guns and not get my own personal account, but we shall see how this goes. He has already denied 'friendship' with a couple of people so I hope that doesn't come back to haunt him. Like me, he thinks have 300 'friends' on facebook is ridiculous. I mean, really, are you going to keep in contact with that many people and really care about what is going on in their day to day lives??? I think not. But I can see how this will be a good networking tool for what T does on a daily basis and he has already been in contact with a couple of his track athletes. I am interested to see how all of this pans out.

On a side note, one of the fire alarm batteries is going and it beeps every minute or so. Annoying, but thankfully the battery didn't go in the middle of the night. So glad to have this day off.

Ship Ahoy Matey ~ A Pirate Party

Another birthday has come and gone. It all goes by so fast. I think all the kids had a good time. We had the bouncy out but unfortunately during present time it started to rain. So the kids didn't get to spend much time in the bouncy or on the the swing set. We had a pirate party and this year I can't take credit for the cake. That $20 I spent at Wal-mart for that was worth every penny. We are incredibly blessed with great family and friends. We had a great time and thanks to RCM for ALL your help. Couldn't have done it without you!!! Will post our Friday night fun later. :)

100th Post and the Real Day

First of all, I can't believe this is my 100th post and that I have had this blog about a year. Wow!!! Anyway, here are a couple of pictures from Tug's 'real' birthday which was on Tuesday. We didn't have the party until this Saturday. Tug got to open Aunt Marcie's present on Tuesday which was the coolest pirate ship ever. It was nice for him to have that to play with for a few days. Nana brought over an ice cream cake to celebrate. Thanks Nana!!!
