A Trip the ER

I always thought that my first trip to the ER as an adult would be with one of my children. (cut or something of that nature) Never did I think I would need to go. However, yesterday I took my 4th period to the library to work on their research papers that are due next Friday. I had this dibilitating pain, like I have never felt. Well, actually I had an attack like this in the middle of the night about a week and half ago. I just chocked it up to a REALLY bad case of indigestion. Anyway, I got up walking around hoping that would eleviate the pain. (It's like a contraction that doesn't stop.) My students kept asking if I was okay and if they needed to go get the nurse. I HATE a scene. So I said no, that I would be fine. But I wasn't getting any better. One of the students said, "Mrs. G I know this is against your wishes, but I am going to get the nurse."
When all was said and done, two nurses were there, took my blood pressure which was elevated b/c of the pain, I was shaking and sweating. Told them my symtoms and they immediately said I was having a gull bladder attack. (I do have gull stones which were found about 2 and half years ago.) The pain stopped back then so I didn't do anything about it. At first I wouldn't let them call T. But then I just knew I couldn't take the pain anymore. He came and got me to take me to the hospital ER.
Funny sidenote (which was not funny at the time.) ~ As soon as we pulled onto the interstate, T's gas light came on. I couldn't believe it and there was no way that I was going to make it to Lake Norman so we ended up at Iredell. I did have good care, but now am on hold to see a surgeon b/c I am waiting for my ultrasound report from two years ago. The urgent care computers are down today for updating. Can you believe that?? So everything is on hold until Monday. I have medication if any pain should arise. We shall see..............we are heading in the direction of having this taken out.
