Preschool c/o 2011

This past Sunday was Nor's graduation from preschool. She was sooooooo excited. She has been practicing for quite some time and talked about it constantly for the past two weeks. Precious. I was a little worried that she was talking about and practicing it so much that she would actually get up there and freeze. But she didn't. She performed every song and poem. She did such a great job and was so cute!

One of the performances..............I hope and pray that kindergarten is everything Nor is hoping and thinking it will be. Otherwise, if we don't catch her in kindergarten she might be one who just says she is done with school. She is so excited about going and asks me every other day when will she get to go to "big school." She is starting to have an interest in learning more than just numbers and letters. She wants to spell words and read. Ready or not kindergarten...........here we come. *Lakeshore* I hope you are ready!!!!!

Numero Three

Well, here it is. Number three yearbook completed under my supervision. Not a great picture of the cover, however it is another cut-out. Not sure if I like it more or less than my first cut-out cover from year one. It's probably going to cost me a fortune!!! :) Here's how the theme came about. We picked out the cover first........then the students wanted to do a "Caught in the Act" page. So one morning in early fall while I was in the shower (that's where most of my great ideas come)...........hey don't judge..........it's about the only quiet time I get..............anyway it dawned on me that "Caught in........." could be our theme. So I gave them the assignment for coming up with "Caught in the........." for everything. So we have "Caught on the Diamond," "Caught in the Change," we have a phrase for everything. It's the first time I feel like we did a great job carrying the theme throughout the book.

This is More Like it

Last weekend was my prom and I looked and felt like a hot mess. This weekend, was T's prom and I could actually look and feel dressed up. We had a wonderful dinner in Huntersville and then headed into Charlotte to Bank of American stadium. T was not comfortable with this whole concept and will probably make some changes for next year, but thankfully nothing major happened.

Star Wars Bowling

Here's our birthday boy! Getting so big and tall. We went bowling.......so much fun. Although there were way more boys than girls. It makes me wonder how one of Tug's friend's mommy survived a birthday sleepover of 10 boys at her house back in the fall. Craziness.

I'm Gonna Miss This

FREEZE TIME!!!! That's what I want to do. Today marks our Tug's 7th birthday. I am REALLY struggling with this one and not sure why. I CANNOT believe how quickly time is flying by. There is a song, "You're Gonna Miss This" and it's true. I don't want my children to get any older. I DREAD the teen-age years. Maybe because I deal with teenagers day in and day out. I don't know. But Tug and Nor are at such fun ages. These are the best times, I think.

Happy Birthday to our wonderful son who was such an easy baby. And such a blessing. We waited a long time for our little bundle of joy! I got out some early scrapbooks this morning and was so sad. What a cutie he is too! He must have gotten those good looks from his dad. So smart he is! It amazes me how much he knows and how much he has learned as a first grader. He really enjoys school and I only hope that lasts. He loves sports, but with a dad who follows sports, how could he not? He has done soccer for the last several seasons, he tried a stint at t-ball and now says he wants to do basketball and football. My lefty is going to be great at baseball I think. He has recently shown some interest in that as well. Not really digging t-ball, too much standing around and not enough action. He had cupcakes with his classmates today with a party to follow this weekend. Will post pictures soon! Time............stand still................you are going way too fast for me.
