I felt particularly F.A.T. today and not really sure why. It's been awhile since I 'confessed' so here goes. I had a former student come up to me today and say, "Mrs. G. you look so pretty today." How nice! I gave her a hug. She must have known I needed that since this was a FAT day.
So back to my first sentence. Not really sure why I felt that way today. I have been steadily going down the scale, I haven't hit my 50 yet, but I am VERY close. I am hoping to get there this weekend (before we head to the beach for spring break) but we shall see. I was thinking the other day as I contemplated upon this journey and where I have come: "When was it that I became afraid of sweating?" I mean, let's be real.........working out is no joke. Taking a hip hop class, I think, is very close to a zumba workout, although I haven't done zumba yet and can't wait to try. I SWEAT MY BUTT OFF! But when did I become afraid of actually doing something, anything and getting sweaty??? I am not really sure the answer to that question, but suffice it to say that I am afraid no more. Instead of the tread mill being my BFF, it's now the ellipitical. Never thought I would enjoy working out on one of those, but it's not bad.
Here's another deep thought for you, that isn't really related to weight loss per se......this past weekend there were many bad storms that swept through NC. Saturday morning did not turn out pretty weather. But once the storms passed it was sunshine through the rest of the weekend. As we left church and were driving around I noticed how many houses did not have blinds or curtains open to the glorious light and warmth of the sunshine. There are so many people that keep the sunshine out.......... in so many ways. Open the blinds people!!!!
